Review: Lime Ginger Gummies by Dibz
Here come the infusers. With more than 55 licenses approved, Illinois is about to see an explosion of new labels providing edibles, topicals, and more. Contract Canna is just such a licensee, producing the CQ beverages reviewed here, and now these Dibz edibles. I grabbed a bag of Lime Ginger gummies to see how one of the newest products on our market stacks up.
The Lime Ginger fast-acting gummies were bright green and shaped like the six-pointed star from the Chicago flag. They come in a 100mg per pack, with twenty 5 mg gummies. The scent hit as soon as I cracked the bag. Candied lime and ginger were easy to pick out but an underlying cotton candy sweetness also lingered throughout.

The Dibz were some of the softest gummies I’ve had on the market, putting up almost no resistance to the teeth even with the considerable sugar coating. The lime dominates the flavor and transported me back to my childhood, reminding me of lime Otter Pops I treasured as a boy.
The ginger bite on the backend cleansed the palate of the super sweet artificial lime. Noticeably absent was anything resembling the flavor of cannabis. I had doubts about the “fast acting” labeling on the package, but the effects hit me in 20 minutes, about half the time it takes for a traditional edible to sink in.
Dibz really took the edge off of a 2-hour car ride with my parents, making me silly, open to conversation, but dazing me enough that I wasn’t a very good copilot/GPS operator. The body effects calmed the usual inflammation in my joints, even after being stuck in the car for the extended ride.
