Review: Lollypop by Bedford Grow
By @Medsforheads
There’s a certain level of quality I’ve come to expect with Bedford Grow, and this two-nug eighth of Lollypop scooped from Greengate Chicago maintains the cultivator’s standard, from aesthetics to smoke character. Lollypop is an indica cross between Flo and Northern Lights. This batch tested at 0.27% THC and 18.35% THCa.
First impressions upon peeling off the seal started with a sweet, earthy smell, like old-fashioned general store candy with a hint of skunk that tractor-beamed my nose into the jar. The second thing I noticed were the large, attractive buds, spiked club-shaped and regally pigmented with amethysts, emeralds, and white gold from plentiful capitate stalked trichomes coating the dense tissue.

Though the protuberant shape of the nugs brings GG4 to mind, the comparisons stop there, as this flavor-forward flower is for more refined palates. BG’s attentive treatment of the indica is evident in both trim and cure, as the well-manicured cola tops were sticky to the touch while properly dry without crumbling. Upon grinding, Lollypop released a strong grape must aroma that motivated me to roll my joint faster to get to the flavor.
Lighting up invited notes of cinnamon, cardamom, and wet soil to the party while a pleasant fog started to fall over my mind. This light, tranquil feeling crept into a floaty, blank-headed bliss about twenty minutes after my last hit, at which point receptivity to happy, simple stimuli like snacks and comical TV was sky high.

Overall, Lollypop’s reminded me of BG’s Grape Sugar Cookies, another deliciously fruity and mellow strain that helped break the below-20% THC stigma, with the stony and muchie-inducing traits of Alien Rock Candy.
Sufferers of anxiety, depression, and low appetite may find this strain effectively relieving, and flavor chasers as well as “strictly effects” folks looking to evoke a little nostalgia would be savvy to give Lollypop a try.
