Review: MAC 1 by Aerīz
By Theo
In Illinois, customers are not allowed to physically examine cannabis before purchasing, so while at Thrive Anna, I was glad to see that Aerīz’s packaging printed terpene information on its new boxes. At the checkout counter, I asked to see the product’s box (which all customers should do, too), and noticed the testing percentages of the four most dominant terpenes: limonene (1.52%), a-pinene (0.50%), b-caryophyllene (0.42%), and b-myrcene (0.25%). I immediately asked for two more jars. Turned out it was a good call.
Pristine, sparkling, and perfectly grown cannabis flowers radiated light through the jar. I got one three-gram whole flowering top, and a half-gram chunk of popcorn to make weight.

A pungent, almost startling aroma of sour cherries, sweet cream, and spicy, savory baked goods was immediately detected. The bud was tightly wound, sticky, and I had some difficulty tearing it apart to grind.
Once I did get it ground, the sour berries didn’t come through quite as much. The aroma was all baked goods and funky sweet cream and spice. The smoke was thick and satisfying.

I don’t believe there is a better more versatile hybrid than Mac 1. A soaring, euphoric, cerebral wave, neither stimulating nor sedative, took effect immediately. The cerebral high was soon matched with cozy long-lasting body effects.
The Mac 1 high touched on every single universal hybrid note. I also found the effects moderately slow to develop, and the high consistently caught me by surprise a couple minutes after the session.
Overall, I enjoyed Mac 1 repeatedly throughout the day. I smoked on mine for several days straight and never encountered a situation in which it didn’t feel completely appropriate.
