I’ve always enjoyed prerolls, but I never really fell in love with the category until I was introduced to the infused version of the simple joint. The heavy hitting high of a well-executed infused preroll is a special experience. Ozone recently dropped a new 5-Pack offering of its Reserve Mandarin Zkittlez Live Resin Infused Preroll.

Mandarin Zkittlez, bred by Ethos Genetics, is a hybrid cross of Mandarin Sunset and Black Rose. Picked up at Ascend Horizon Drive, these live resin infused prerolls tested at 15.475% THC, 14.464% THCa, and 32.717% total cannabinoids.

Each half-gram joint was just shy of two inches long, including the crutch which was actually longer than the flower portion of the joint. The aroma from the tube was fruity and sweet, featuring orange peel, cranberry, and lemon. The smoke was thick from the slow burning preroll and tasted heavily of orange peel with a heavy earthy soil flavor on the finish that caught me by surprise.

The effect profile set in physically at first with a tight headband sensation right above my brow and a euphoric tingle in my stomach. Mentally, I was stunned at how strong the daze was off of a half gram joint. Every time I enjoyed one from the multipack, I quickly lost focus on what I was working on and ended up on the couch watching Youtube cooking videos and snacking. The heavy physical effects and mental daze lasted longer than I expected making these best fit for later in the day as opposed to a wake and bake.
