Review: Mangonada Live Badder by PTS
Combining flavors and seasonality is a culinary tradition with a rich history, and it’s something that I enjoy exploring in my cannabis experiences as well. As the days get longer, flowers bloom and temperatures rise, and I gravitate toward spring and summer flavors. This is why I was excited to try Mangonada from Progressive Treatment Solutions, as it instantly brings to mind memories of summer days. I recently picked up a sample of this cannabis strain as a live badder when I saw it on the menu at Consume Marion.
Mangonada is a hybrid cross of Macnanna and Panama Red #14. This batch of live badder tested at 0.77% CBG, 7.56% CBGa, 2% Delta-9-THC, 78.03% THCa, and 88.36% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 4.66% of the total weight with β-myrcene, ocimene, β-caryophyllene, and linalool being the heaviest.
A messy mound of creamy amber-yellow badder had a surface sheen of terpene moisture. Clinging to the tool while remaining easily pliable, this live badder had a room temperature butter consistency that made for simple dosing.
Notably fresh and floral, the aroma inside the jar was a mélange of lavender, magnolia, honeysuckle, peach, carrot, and mango. The palate was an almost perfect reflection of the in-jar aroma. The flavor was delicate, fresh, and floral with the sweet honeysuckle, magnolia, and mango standing out as highlights.
The Mangonada cannabis concentrate provided a slow-building euphoric buzz that gradually spread throughout my body. Once fully set in, the playful and giggly high was enjoyable, but it left me feeling unfocused and unable to be productive. However, the high CBGa content contributed to a distinctive “spaciousness” in my headspace.
Mangonada proved to be the perfect strain to unwind with at the end of a stressful day, and the fresh floral flavor made for a delicious post-dinner palate cleanser. Overall, the Mangonada cannabis concentrate delivered a unique and enjoyable experience best suited for relaxation and stress relief. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
