Review: Maui Wowie Disposable Vape by Bloom
To help build quick brand recognition, Illinois cultivators have been bringing to life already existing brands from outside markets. Craft grower Helios Labs, a member of The 1937 Group, has secured exclusive manufacturing agreements with some of the most reputable brands in the nation, including California-native Bloom. Recently, Helios Labs launched the Bloom brand in Illinois, so I stopped at nuEra Champaign and picked up a Bloom Maui Wowie Disposable vape to see what the new-to-the-state label had to offer.
This Bloom Surf Maui Wowie disposable vape is a distillate vape infused with botanically derived terpenes. This vape tested at 0.32% CBD, 86.82% THC, and 88.85% total cannabinoids. The label indicated that botanical terpenes were 6% of the total oil.

The Surf disposable vape sat comfortably in the palm of my hand, just a quarter inch taller and half as thick as a standard Bic lighter and appropriately shaped like a surfboard. The bottom two thirds were a plain-beige plastic with an indicator light at one side, while the top was an opaque-black plastic that allowed me to view the remaining oil level when held up to a light. The Bloom Surf leaned into the ease-of-use model with no buttons or settings and a simple hit to activate mechanism.
The flavor was bright with leading notes of sweet artificial berry, fresh melon, and floral lily and rose. The individual notes were hard to distinguish as they came together into a solid unified flavor that stuck to the palate long after exhaling.
Blooms Maui Wowie blend hit with an initial strong racy sensation that brought me just short of anxiety before a more relaxing and heavy haze set into my mind. On both sides of the racy/hazy spectrum, all concentration was gone. The vape was great for inducing munchies, making me hungry after the peak of nearly every experience.
Physically, there was a light body load that provided an overall pressure sensation while never becoming heavy or weighted. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
