Review: Meltdown Prerolls by matter.
In general, cartridges are my least favorite cannabis product to review because usually there is not as much to write about with the appearance, smell, and flavor. Prerolls also fall into that same category for me. Most the medical patients I know smoke mostly joints. I rarely do. For reviews, I usually have a more difficult time pinpointing nuances from the flavor. That was not the case for the Meltdown prerolls by matter. I picked up from Verilife River North.
I reviewed Meltdown flower more than two years ago and found the same terpene profile and flavor in the prerolls. Meltdown is a cross of Orange Valley OG and The Cube. These two .5g prerolls tested at 22.24% total cannabinoids (though I couldn’t read the breakdown because I accidentally smudged the label). The terpene profile led with beta-myrcene, limonene, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, and alpha terpineol.

The aroma from the container carried notes of piney citrus, lemon, sour herbal, and floral. The flavor hit first with the lemon pine, menthol, and kush on the inhale. The exhale delivered herbal, sweet floral, spicy, and citrus notes, especially on the back end.
The Meltdown Prerolls also provided the same effects as the flower review. The head high kicked off with euphoric, cerebral, and creative thoughts that carried me through the end of the joint. Shortly after finishing the joint, my upbeat ideas and thoughts started to wander about.
The body buzz crept in later, and once fully active, the overall buzz became less energetic and cerebral and more relaxed and sedated. The overall body buzz I found to be the type that makes me feel like I’m floating instead of weighed down. The body buzz increased with more doses, and eventually the strain boosted my appetite.
Overall, the Meltdown delivered a more pronounced flavor profile than expected from prerolls, while delivering the effects I’d expected. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
