Review: Mimosa by Kaviar
I initially tried Mimosa as part of Missouri’s medical program and was instantly captivated. I was so impressed by the cultivar that I sourced a clone for my own garden. Nowadays, whenever I come across the strain, I pick up a sample, if only to compare it to the flowers I cultivate myself. Just recently, I came across Kaviar’s Mimosa at Star Buds Burbank, and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to sample it.
Mimosa is a hybrid cross of Clementine and Purple Punch. This batch of flower tested at 25.389% THCa, 0.326% Delta-9-THC, 0.203% CBCa, 1% CBGa, 0.1% CBG, and 27.279% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 1.266% of the total weight with limonene, β-caryophyllene, β-myrcene, and β-pinene being the heaviest.
The buds consisted of one remarkably large cola, approximately the size of a thumb, accompanied by a collection of smaller popcorn nugs. They were meticulously trimmed into Christmas tree shapes, with a bright green color and a sparkling, milky trichome frost covering them. The flowers displayed a notable brightness.
The aroma wafting from the jar offered a distinctive fusion of medicinal and herbal scents. It revealed noticeable hints of dry hops, sage, coriander, lemon, and sweet berry. Upon smoking, the floral characteristics became more prominent, with lavender and rose taking the lead. The exhale introduced a combination of orange notes alongside the lingering presence of dry hops and sage.
Mimosa exerted a calming influence on my mind, promoting a clear and focused headspace conducive to concentration and productivity. As time passed, the physical effects became increasingly pronounced, creating a classic indica buzz.
The vibrations grew more intense, ultimately prompting me to settle on the couch and embrace the experience. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
