During the Covid-19 pandemic and stay-at-home order, edibles have been getting a lot an attention as the go-to medication while stuck at home.

But as people slowly start reintegrating back into a regular flow of life, I believe the .5 gram joint will be one of the new go-to methods of medication for the remainder of the pandemic.

Until the pandemic declines, passing around a pipe or joint with friends and rolling a blunt for everyone at the party are social norms that stoners may have to adjust.

The .5 gram pre-rolls are the perfect answer.

For this review, I picked up a pack of two .5 gram pre-rolls from Verilife Ottawa.

My strain of choice: Mr. Clean by Matter.

After reviewing Matter’s Meltdown, I could not wait to try Mr. Clean.

Mr. Clean and Meltdown share the parent strain, The Cube, and after the first hit, I noticed the similar flavors and terpenes—but with a twist.

The combination The Cube with Mr. Clean’s other parent, Lime Skunk, is a great treatment option for me. I am not sure if it’s the large amount of cannabinoids or the specific combination of terpenes, but two stains of Matter flower I’ve sampled has offered, as if personalized, a body and muscle pain relief that not all cannabis brands can match.

The potent hybrid had me wanting to smoke the entire joint in one setting. Which is why I believe these .5 joints are going to gain in popularity over the next year. Instead of sharing a blunt, people in the smoking circle can hit their own .5 gram joint. Maybe salute with the joint to let others know your participating. This also allows for smokers in the group to select a strain specifically suited for them.

The Mr. Clean pre-rolls were a great match for me, with or without a smoking circle. I could smell the familiar Lemon Pledge furniture cleaner aroma through the rolling paper.

The flavor was a combination of tropical lemon, pine, and that distinct menthol.

After a few hits off the joint and while enjoying the taste, I realized that the head high hadn’t hit me right away, as the Meltdown had. Instead, the Mr. Clean buzz crept up slowly until I realized I was blowed out and more than a half an hour had passed.

While medicated, I was able to get work done for more than two hours, which seemed more like an hour because of how fast time flew.

Mr. Clean is listed as a 60% Sativa/40% Indica, but after two large dosing sessions before bed two nights in a row, I had trouble falling asleep. It wasn’t anxious energy that kept me awake, more as if my body wanted to enjoy the back end of the uplifting buzz before letting go. Once asleep, though, I slept well for the rest of the night.

As anyone can tell after my previous two Matter product reviews, I am a fan and looking forward to reviewing more strains, so I can mix and match throughout the day for a better overall wellbeing.

Another reason I really enjoy reviewing Matter flower is that I can’t always put my finger on the standout characteristics because the terps are delivering such diverse taste, flavor, and potent medical affects. But I love trying.
