Review: Mule Fuel by Ripperz
I’ve been looking for a knockout night strain for months. Illinois craft grow licensee Wyvern Botanicals has finally provided one. Wyvern Botanicals’ premium flower brand Ripperz recently launched several strains in Illinois. I picked out the Mule Fuel to review.
Mule Fuel is a cross of GMO Cookies and Lurch. This batch tested at 0.41% THC, 31.12% THCa, 0.816% CBGa, and 32.361 % total cannabinoids. Primary terpenes included β-myrcene, α-pinene, β-caryophyllene, and limonene, with 2.755% total terpenes.

This eighth came as three large bulbous colas with mixed dark green and purple colors and a heavy dose of milky trichomes. The aroma hit with an overall sweetness that blended with heavy notes of skunk, kush, diesel, spice, cedar, and pine.
The flavor delivered heavy skunk, kush, diesel, cookie dough, and sweet perfume notes with savory herbs and spice back notes that somehow accentuated the rest of the flavors. The inhale highlighted the sweet, while the exhale highlighted the savory. The pleasant sweet-cookie dough flavor returned at the very end of the exhale and stuck to the palate, inviting another hit.

The fast-hitting and potent effects started with an uplifting and mood-boosting head high that caused a headband pressure. The initial burst didn’t last long. A stoney sedation slowly unwound stress and racing thoughts. With heavy doses, my mental acuity relaxed to the point of thoughtlock, forgetfulness, and plain zoning out. The body buzz also hit quickly, with a head-to-toe sinking sensation that led to a weighted blanket effect. The heaviness of the weighted blanket compounded with each dose and induced couchlock late in the buzz. Ripperz also caused a huge boost in appetite and often triggered the munchies.
