Review: Pacific Pie by Flora
I became tired of doughy strains when cookie and pie strains were first making their mark on menus. Thankfully, those times have passed and the dough-heavy cuts we are left with are much more complex and interesting than their predecessors. I recently stopped at High Haven Elgin and picked up an eighth of Flora Pacific Pie to review.
Pacific Pie is a hybrid cross of Apples & Bananas and Georgia Pie. This batch of flower tested at 0.487% THC, 30.523% THCa, and 31.011% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 3.47% of the total weight.

A few large chunky flowers reached out in various directions revealing shades of grass green, olive, lilac, and royal purple. Large capitate-stalk trichomes were transitioning from clear to milky and visible with the naked eye. The flowers were spongy under a squeeze but had a delicate structure that broke down under light handling.
A rich and layered aroma escaped the jar as soon after breaking the seal. Top-end notes of sweet artificial grape, underripe green apple, candied lemon, and warmed cinnamon competed for olfactory attention atop a creamy, freshly mixed dough undertone. The creamy cookie dough, with fruit-candy notes appearing only as light undertones on the exhale, dominated the flavor.
The physical effects hit first, sending waves of pressure that ebbed and flowed throughout my body. The headchange followed, leaving me quiet on the surface but deeply introspective. A hazy veil settled over my perception, pulling me out of the moment and deeper into my thoughts. The body pressure lingered for nearly half an hour after the mental effects had faded. Overall, the combination of physical heaviness and a reflective mindset made the Pacific Pie buzz more indica-leaning than expected.
