Review: Pain Relief Balm by Avexia
Topical treatments are often overlooked at dispensaries, but ointments and balms can be a great delivery method for those hoping to avoid any chance of intoxication. Verano imprint label Avexia is completely focused on the topical segment, so I picked up some of the labels 1:1 Pain Relief Balm to review.
Avexia 1:1 Pain Relief Balm has 100mg of THC and 100mg of CBD. The ingredients are beeswax, jojoba oil, sunflower seed oil, menthol, lavender oil, peppermint oil, sweet almond oil, meadow foam seed oil, CBD, activated cannabis oil, and tocopheryl acetate.

The flat, shimmering, slightly translucent balm looked and smelled like the classic Vicks Vaporub with a heavy punch of menthol and peppermint hitting my nose as soon as I opened the jar. Fast melting with simple body heat, the balm was easy to rub into the skin with a slight oily residue and heavy scent of menthol lingering after application.
The Avexia Pain Relief Balm worked in two distinct waves. Initially, a tingling and cooling sensation penetrated roughly an inch into wherever the balm was applied, clearly the menthol and peppermint oil in action. The tingling subsided quickly but over the next forty-five minutes a warming and localized muscle relief took over. Reaching deeper than the menthol/peppermint tingles, the muscle relief was good for back and large muscle pain. Overall, the experience was short lived as both waves of relief had come and gone within an hour and a half of application.
