Review: Peach Jellies by JAMS
When it comes to infused gummies, flavor and texture can be the deciding factors for many consumers. Curaleaf is betting on this with the release of its new JAMS line of “jellies,” a softer, easy-chewing gummy texture. I recently stopped into Curaleaf Skokie and picked up a sample of the Peach Jellies JAMS to see what the new label is bringing to market.
JAMS Peach Jellies come as a 10-pack of gummies with 10mg of THC per candy. The ingredients are tapioca syrup, sugar, water, natural flavors, pectin, malic acid, sorbitol, sodium citrate, cannabis, oil, fruit and vegetable juice for color, and botanical terpenes.
Opening the bag unleashed a heavy aroma of overly sweet artificial peach and melon. Imagine the flavor of peach ring gummies but twice as strong, and this was just the aroma. JAMS jellies were softer than traditional gummies with a moist, almost juicy mouthfeel that put up almost no resistance to the teeth.
The flavor carried the strong classic peach ring well on the front end, while the back end revealed some hints of peppery cannabis extract among the sweetness. As a peach ring fan, these were delicious, and it was easy to eat more than one.
JAMS jellies set in quickly. Even on a full stomach, the effects were noticeable at the thirty-minute mark. A wave of optimism and anxiety relief set in mentally as I became playful and easygoing. There was consistently a brightness and positivity to the mental portion of the experience.
Physically, faint tingles starting in core became stronger as time passed, eventually becoming heavy vibrations that moved outward toward my arms and legs. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
