Instead of taking a “whole market” approach, many new craft labels are focusing on one segment to secure a niche. Atomic Acres’ Tickled Pink is going after one of the largest segments in cannabis with a new women-focused cannabis label. I recently had a chance to pick up Tickled Pink Punchline to review.

Punchline is a hybrid cross of Cherry Punch x (Cherry Punch x Ethos Cookies #16) x Ethos Cookies #4. This eighth came as a substantial handful of various sized chunky buds. The base color was a mix of forest, lime, and turf green with spots of lilac purple accenting. The trichome frost added a sparkle when the flowers were held to the light. The flowers were dense, and a quick squeeze provided zero bounce back but left a substantial hash-style greasiness on my fingertips.

Bright and fruity, the aroma led with notes of fresh tangerine, artificial grape and cherry candy, and sweet peppers. The fruit notes became light and delicate on the palate, more orange blossom than orange flesh supported by a warm sweet dough tone on the exhale. The contrast between the delicate, fruity top end and warmer, heavier undertones created a more complex flavor profile than aroma.

Punchline hit right in the center of the hybrid spectrum inducing a peaceful but playful headspace paired with an ever-increasing wave of pain relieving muscle relaxation. My motivation was sapped, but I remained clearheaded and talkative throughout. The muscle relief was also quite functional, simply relieving my tightness and pain without any heavy pressure, simply relaxed. Overall, Punchline leaned into its heavy candy-citrus aroma while delivering an anytime hybrid experience.
