Review: Purple Punch Live Resin by Rythm
To start this review, I’m going to make probably the most controversial statement I’ve made in a review to date. And I know I’m going to hear it from the weedsplainers about how wrong I am, but I think Purple Punch is the most overrate strain in existence. When cultivated well, I find it average at best. There, I said it.
Luckily, for this review, Rythm created a decent batch of Purple Punch Live Resin. For those who don’t know, Purple Punch is a cross between Larry OG with Granddaddy Purple. This resin clocked in at 84.65% THC and .30% CBD.
This live resin retained a good amount of the grape and fruity aroma from the flower. The flavor mixed a tart citrus from the limonene with earthy and woody from the humulene and beta-caryophyllene. The cerebral high hit hard and fast but was clearer headed than expected, especially for consuming a concentrate. Of course, the head high eventually drifted toward sedation after a few doses.
For me, the most appealing quality of Purple Punch was the body buzz. The relaxing effects sank in early and rushed through my muscles in waves. The body buzz became heavier the more I dosed. Eventually, the night use of the Purple Punch Live Resin led to a heavy sleep.
Overall, Rythm cultivated a quality produce that produced the desired effects one expects from Purple Punch. I was happy with the product for this review. And to be clear, I don’t dislike the Purple Punch strain. I just think it’s average and overrated. I’d rather review almost any other strain from Rythm and Green Thumb.
