Bedford Grow dropped a run of new strains crossed with Amnesia Coast that I’ve recently been sampling. I started with the Mochi Sour Preroll Pack, where I found some intriguing flavors. This time, I sampled the 1g Purple Wolf Preroll, picked up at Maribis Springfield, to see what this new strain had to offer.

Purple Wolf is a hybrid cross of Shawnee Hills and Amnesia Coast. This preroll tested at 1.16% CBGa, 0.98% Delta-9-THC, 25.88% THCa, and 28.04% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 1.9% of the total weight with β-caryophyllene, limonene, β-myrcene, and α-humulene being the heaviest.

The aroma inside the tube and a dry pull indicated fresh lemon-lime, tangy hot diesel, and sweet mint at the finish. The flavor carried more of the hot diesel, hops, and lemon-lime citrus with a rich note of cinnamon at the finish that got stronger as the preroll burned down. The preroll was dense in the hand but some quick rolling between my fingers made for a clean and even burn.

Purple Wolf opened physically with a heavy pressure at the forehead that spread into the body, becoming more a calming relaxation than simple pressure. Mentally, Purple Wolf induced an introspective but imaginative headspace that was nice for working through creative problems but not much for socializing.
