Review: Durban Zkittlez by Rythm
By: @illinoiscannabisreview1
I have had beautiful hard-hitting flower from Rythm by Green Thumb Industries (GTI), but I also have had some questionable buds that had me never wanting to return. So when I looked through the vault of cultivator strains, this Durban Zkittlez really caught my eye with its whopping THC percentage. A couple weeks back, I’d grabbed some White Durban from GTI, so I already knew the Durban was going to be a fun sativa but was curious to see where this Zkittles cross would take me, so I took a chance.
Picked up from Zen Leaf Naperville, Durban Zkittles is a cross of Durban Poison and Zkitlles. This harvest tested at 35.66% THCa with the terpene profile of a-pinene, b- caryophyllene, b-myrcene, b-pinene, limonene, and linalool.

This eighth came with four medium-sized nugs. The color on this strain was on the darker green side with crazy oranges pistils and finished by a nice little trichome glow. All four nugs were fresh and fluffy and felt like kinetic sand when ground.
The smell from the jar was straight dank chem with hints of pine that hit the back of the nose. But as soon as chem and pine cleared, the fresh mixed fruit hit. I didn’t want the smell to leave my nostrils.

The flavor started on the sweeter side with hints of mixed fruit on the inhale, but as I exhaled, a piney chemmy aftertaste left my mouth wanting a second hit from the mixed fruit flavors.
The effects I felt from this strain were energizing and a focus-driven head high with a slight body tingle. The effects lasted quite a while and allowed me to get errands done without the crash or jitteriness of my daily coffee/energy drink.

Overall, I would recommend this strain consumers who needs a heavy hitting daytime strain that will help you make it through any day. That being said, if new to consuming, I would start with something lighter and work your way up.
