Review: Romie Disposable Pen by Dabstract
I love trying a strain I’ve never tried before, even more so when it comes in a hardware format I’ve never experienced. Dabstract has recently released a long list of strains in the label’s 1g all-in-one disposable pens, including the new-to-me Romie.
Romie is a hybrid cross of Lemon Tree and (88 Hashplant x Chocolate Thai). This 1g disposable vape tested at 0.17% CBD, 0.26% CBDa, 16.5% THCa, 53.6% THC, and 77% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 14.1% of the total weight with limonene, myrcene, and caryophyllene being the heaviest.

Four inches tall, the all-in-one pen was thicker than a standard vape (imagine a highlighter marker instead of a Bic writer). The top quarter was a white tapered-plastic mouthpiece and a chunky-glass tank branded with the Dabstract triangle. Inside was a metal coil and a transparent golden-honey-colored oil that followed gravity quickly with a thin viscosity. The rest of the pen was a white soft-touch plastic with the Dabstract logo and a small triangular indicator light that lit up white when being hit. There was a USB-C charge port on the bottom and hit to activate mechanism. The larger size produced heavier hits and denser clouds than a standard pen vape.
Pine sap, lime peel, diesel, and ocean brine created a tangy top end, but it was the rich undernotes of fresh ground black pepper, scallions, bell pepper, and turned earth that clung to the palate. There was a lot of depth to the overall profile, and I continued to find new flavors the more I explored including notes of lilac, rose, and sage. The profile was consistent from the first draw to the last, a benefit of Dabstract being able to lock in the heat level on the all in one.
Romie brought me into the moment by turning up my awareness levels. Brighter colors, more vibrant sounds, more flavorful food, a couple strong hits made my experience of the now more intense. There was a light headband pressure that remained concentrated at my crown, but the bulk of the experience was more head than body change. My energy levels remained steady, and I could use the pen any time of day to enhance the situation, a true “anytime” buzz.
