Review: Salted Caramel Chocolates by Fully Baked
Other than the license holders themselves, a few people in Illinois have been anticipating the new craft grows and infusers more than myself. Competition will only improve the market, so I celebrate every time another producer gets a product to shelves. I’ve been watching Fully Baked Brands develop since its license was first awarded and jumped at the opportunity to finally sample the brand’s Salted Caramel Chocolates I found on the menu at River Bluff Roselle.
Fully Baked Salted Caramel Chocolates come as a ten pack of caramel filled chocolates with 10mg of THC per piece for a total of 100mg of THC per package. Individually wrapped, each Fully Baked branded chocolate disk was just more than an inch across and wafer thin. The sweet milk chocolate was soft and slightly fudgy with a consistency reminiscent of Cadbury milk chocolate. Smooth flowing caramel was absolutely packed into the thin wafer and oozed from the center after a bite.

No flavors indicating the infused nature of these candies, and candies could have easily passed as a quality traditional non-infused chocolate candy. A traditional distillate-based candy, the Salted Caramel Chocolates effect profile set in by the 30-minute mark with a mood and perception shift that left me silly, playful, and more interested and aware of my immediate surroundings.
There was a lightly energetic quality to the buzz that left me more talkative and social at the peak. Physically, an overall lightness reduced the pain and inflammation in my joints and muscles for the duration, but the experience was more cerebral than body focused.
The ingredients are milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, unsweetened chocolate, soy lecithin, natural vanilla flavor), tapioca syrup, water, glycerin, cream, non-fat, dry milk, sweet whey, sunflower lecithin, salt, natural flavors, pectin, and THC distillate.
