Review: Slurricane Minis Prerolls by Lobo
Illinois’ position as the third largest legal market in the United States means a huge list of brands are still working to find licensed partners in the Prairie State. The 1937 Group has taken advantage of this, working to bring a huge list of new offerings to market, including Lobo products. I recently stopped into Parkway Dispensary and picked up a few Lobo products to sample, including the Slurricane Minis Prerolls.
Slurricane is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Purple Punch and Dos-Si-Dos. This batch of flower tested at 0.905% THC, 21.505% THCa, and 24.504% total cannabinoids.
Seven half-gram prerolls came sealed in a small plastic bag with a humidity pack inside the larger slide-out cardboard box. Each cone was just over two-and-a-half inches long with a blend of light green and deeply colored royal-purple flower filling a portion equally as long as the paper filter. Dense from the box, these prerolls benefited greatly from some prework to loosen them up for a more even burn.
The aroma inside the bag and a dry pull produced a sweet and savory combination of cream, berries, pine, cedar, and gas. The joints tasted very sweet during the first few drags, carrying the sweet berries and cream alongside a sugary artificial grape tone. The pine and cedar reappeared as the joint burned down into the last half.
Slurricane was slow to build, finally reaching the peak after 20 minutes with a tight headband sensation at my crown, cascading down into my body as strong waves of pressure. My awareness closed in, and my focus waned as my mood turned irreverent. Slurricane reliably produced a case of the munchies and left me tired once the initial experience had passed.
Overall, these convenient shorty prerolls were easy to fit into anytime of day and provided a stronger experience than anticipated. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
