Review: Soft Chews by Ozone
Last month, Ascend Wellness Holdings announced a full brand and quality relaunch of its flagship lifestyle brand, Ozone. The relaunch also introduces full-spectrum gummies, macro-dose gummies, new flower strains, and new liquid diamonds and live resin vapes. I picked up from Ascend (Horizon Drive) Springfield a batch of Ozone’s new products to review, including the Guava Kiwi (sativa), Cherry Limeade (indica), and Peach Passionfruit (hybrid) Full-Spectrum Soft Chews.
The semi-translucent Full-Spectrum Gummies contained 10mg of THC per soft chew. The pectin chews were sugar-coated cubes, a half-inch on each side. The Guava Kiwi Soft Chews boasted a strong sweet kiwi and caramelized green apples aroma from the pouch, with back notes of earthy strawberry, mild citrus, and melons. The flavor boasted tart kiwi, guava, green apple, and melon. The tartness stayed throughout the chew and on the palate afterward.

The Cherry Limeade Soft Chews aroma delivered a candy-sweet cherry blast with hints of citrus and sugared strawberries. The flavor matched the cherry blast aroma on the front end, while overlaying a strong tart citrus that stuck to the palate. The Peach Passionfruit Soft Chews aroma produced an artificial peach blast blended with melons and passion fruit. The flavor reversed that and supplied tart melons and passion fruit that blended with peach. An earthy mango flavor also came in and out throughout the chew. All three flavors carried hints of cannabis underneath the sweet and tart coverup.
The effects followed the sativa, hybrid, and indica labeling. Guava Kiwi (sativa) kicked in with uplifting motivation and a clearheaded high. The body buzz, which was similar for all three flavors, started with tingles throughout the extremities, then a sinking feeling. By the peak of the buzz, a weighted blanket sensation took over. I was able to work on mental and physical projects and enjoyed the edible during the day without the sedation.

The Cherry Limeade (indica) and Peach Passionfruit (hybrid) body buzzes were the same but slightly heavier, especially on the back end. The Cherry Limeade head high delivered more thought wandering and sedation. I dosed with the Cherry Limeade exclusively during late evening and night, most of the time leading to heavy sleep. The Peach Passionfruit buzz landed in the middle with a smooth and overall chill mode, suited for day and night use.
Ingredients included sugar, tapioca syrup, pectin, water, sorbitol, maltodextrin, natural flavor, natural color, malic acid, cannabis oil, MCT oil, potassium sorbate, and terpenes.
