Review: Sour Pink Grapefruit by Cresco
I’ve been on a mission to taste and experience as many “fruit” flavored strains as possible. I have a passion for exploring the complex relationships of terpenes that flavor not only oranges, blueberries, and grapefruit but also the cannabis strains that bear their names. When I spotted Sour Pink Grapefruit by Cresco on the menu at ConsumeMarion during my most recent visit and I knew I had to try it for our Work Sativa review series.
Sour Pink Grapefruit is a cross of Sweet Pink Grapefruit and East Coast Sour Diesel created by Dutch breeder Hortilab Seeds. This batch tested at 22.85% THCA and 23.12% total cannabinoids. Cresco does not provide a full terpene testing results but the package indicates myrcene and caryophyllene are the most prevalent.

These buds were long, thin, and trimmed to a point, giving the appearance of tiny Christmas trees in the jar. Tiny wispy orange hairs reached up to provide color to the lime green buds. The trichome character was light and the color of the flower underneath really came through.
The aroma here was bright on the top with a lot of depth. Raspberries, lemon, cherry, rose, and pine notes over a deeper scent of warm peppery earth. The inhale carried the black pepper and pine, but the exhale lived up to the name and tastes of fresh pink grapefruit.
Sour Pink Grapefruit boosted focus and creativity markedly while simultaneously making me more social and talkative. The euphoric burst of clean energy I got after a morning dose carried well past the lunch hour, elevating my mood and helping me stay focused. Consumers should find an uplifting, focusing, and flavorful experience here and a good Work Sativa.
