Review: Spots Sour Acai Pomegranate Gummies by matter
Several new gummies have popped up on the Illinois cannabis market these last few months. Matter was one of those brands. Matter products are produced by PharmaCann, which operates dispensaries under the name Verilife. I picked up a pack of Spots Sour Gummies. Matter launched four flavors Acai Pomegranate Spots 1:1, Apple Spots 1:4 (THC/CBD), Watermelon Spots, and Wild Berry Spots. Of course, while at Verilife Ottawa, I chose the Acai Pomegranate Spots 1:1.
The Acai Pomegranate Spots 1:1 childproof pouch included twenty gummies. Each gummy contained 100mg CBD/100mg THC. The dark red gummies were half circles and coated in what I thought was sugar but instead turned out to be a tart powder. They emitted a cherry and sweet berry aroma.

The gummies were dense (but not hard) and definitely needed chewed well. Because of the coating, the tartness of the powder hit first, but the flavors balanced out as the sweetness of the gummy blended in.

Not that I needed a faster onset for my edibles, but the Acai Pomegranate Spots were made with “emulsified THC for faster-acting onsets.” The effects did hit quickly, even for me, and first delivered a cerebral buzz that climbed fast. The body buzz built more slowly and eventually took over the cerebral buzz.

The heavy body buzz came in waves and made me want to stretch a few times during its peak. They buzz lasted nearly four hours, and I slept well each night I medicated with the Acai Pomegranate Spots before bed.

Overall, the flavor is a bit tart for me, but I enjoyed the effects at am interested in sampling the other flavors or maybe mixing the 1:1 gummies with regular THC infused Watermelon or Wild Berry Spots flavors for my preferred 1:2 ratio.
