Review: Sunset Sherbet Live Resin by Rythm
By Patsy Marie
As someone who’s involved with most of the Chicago and Illinois online cannabis communities, I know that OG and Kush strains are becoming more and more sought after in the Illinois market. Somewhat gone are the days of people hankering for the cookie and cake strains, though, of course, there are exceptions. With that being said, I was immensely delighted when I saw that Rythm had released Sunset Sherbet, a classic cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties.
Purchased from Rise Niles, this gram of Live Resin tested at 85.10% THCa and 88.741% total cannabinoids. This gram of Sunset Sherbet Live Resin was a soft-textured, golden-yellow sugar that had a considerable amount of sauce, as I’ve noticed Rythm’s Live Resin often does. The primary terpene profile contained caryophyllene, limonene, and humulene.
The smell emanated from the jar before I even opened it, and I was hit with the gas and fuel. When I did open the jar, I noticed a slight citrus profile behind all of the gas and fuel notes. The straight-up gassiness of the profile is one of the things I loved most about it, which again is a far cry from Gelato or Wedding Cake.
Sunset Sherbet’s effects are another reason why it’s one of my favorite strains I’ve tried from an Illinois dispensary. It’s listed as an 85/15% indica-dominant strain, and its effects definitely reflect that. Within twenty minutes of taking a small dab, I could feel warmth in my eyes and heaviness in my body.
This Sunset Sherbet checked every single box as far as what I look for in a concentrate— from a pleasant profile, to desirable effects, even down to it burning clean when consuming. I hope Rythm keeps this strain around and continues releasing it, as it definitely is one of my favorite cultivars from Rythm. For more Illinois News Jointreviews, visit here.
