Review: Super Buff Cherry by One Day
The strain Super Buff Cherry is having its time in the spotlight with multiple sightings on Illinois menus, and the latest label to drop a cut is craft cultivator One Day. I recently picked up an eighth to review at Stash Dispensary in Orland Hills.
Super Buff Cherry is a hybrid cross of Super Boof and Tropicana Cherry. This batch of flower tested at 0.36% Delta 9 THC, 25.69% THCa, and 28.81% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 0.95% of the total weight.

Fluffy with a delicate hand trim that preserved some of the delicate sugar leaf, these four large-popcorn buds carried pink and purple tones over a bright turf green and a dense milky trichome frost brightening the entire appearance. The exterior of these buds carried a hashy greasiness, but the inside had a denseness that left a sticky sappy tack on the fingertips when breaking down the flowers. Despite the center density, the moisture level was just right and made for a smooth burn.
The front of the aroma was sweet with a blend of berry and cocoa tones that evoked chocolate dipped cherries with richer center notes of fresh pine, cedar, and gas. The flavor carried more of that same sweet flavor but broke the notes down more into the individual cocoa and cherry with a hit of caramel appearing before the gas and cedar provided the finish on the exhale. The entire flavor profile was extremely sticky, and all the notes could be picked apart on the palate for a long time post exhale.
Super Buff Cherry set in very quickly with a sharp mental come up that elevated my energy level while clearing my headspace, allowing for a sharp focus and clarity of thought. This top-end energetic focus made Super Buff Cherry a great fit for the morning or as a boost before deep work. The physical aspect remained light until the tail end of the experience when waves of pressure set in as the mental clarity started to wane.
