Review: Sweet Sparks by SweetBuzz
One aspect I’ve enjoyed most about SweetBuzz has been watching the brand’s edible line take on iconic candy flavors. A few candies are as iconic as M&Ms, but that hasn’t stopped SweetBuzz from going head-to-head with its Sweet Sparks.
Sweet Sparks come as a bag of 100 candies with 1mg of THC per piece. The bag was filled with small, rounded candies, each coated in a smooth slightly glossy hard pink shell. The small size and targeted dosing made it easy to eat exactly as much as I wanted, and even at higher doses, I never felt like I was eating too much chocolate. SweetBuzz advises keeping the candies cool due to their chocolate nature, but I found the candy shell made them surprisingly resilient to temperature changes and jostling.

The hard candy shell was twice as thick as the M&M inspiration, providing a dense crunch and sugary-sweet lead into the chocolatey center. The interior had a true “melt in your mouth” quality as soon as I passed the shell. The chocolate was fudgy at the top with a punch of cocoa flavor, followed by a lingering creaminess. Even at this small size, Sweet Sparks provided a boutique-style chocolate experience.
The full experience took less than 20 minutes to unfold, initially providing a headchange that calmed me down, paired with a tightening pressure at my brow. The Sweet Sparks wiped away my anxiety and put a smile on my face for a solid hour, accompanied by a warming all over indica buzz. Overall, the experience was much more “head” than “body”. The small, precise doses also allowed me to experiment with some THC microdosing and a handful provided a light mood lift without any physical sensations.
The ingredients were sugar, palm kernel oil, cocoa powder, whey powder, nonfat milk powder, soy lecithin, vanilla, gum arabic, water, corn starch, titanium dioxide, sugar, purified water, sorbitol, FD&C Red # 40 Lake, FD&C Red #3, sodium benzoate, FD&C Blue #2 Lake, phosphoric acid, and THC extract and organic carnauba wax.
