To be blunt, I’ve never been a huge fan of joints. When I was young and poor, I found them wasteful. Don’t get me wrong. I have smoked my fair share. One summer, my friend and I kept enough roaches to create a fourth generation joint. Back then, I enjoyed the social aspect of it. A good joint attracted small crowds at parties or outside bars. And, when desired, a good joint attracted special one-on-one sessions.

Now, with the pandemic, I yearn for a “joint subcommittee meeting on the fifty yard line.” What I wouldn’t give to be involved in a smoking circled with friends and multiple joints rotating around at once. Now, all I can do is smoke an entire joint myself before watching television or late at night. I don’t have to smoke the entire joint, but I don’t want to put it out and relight it. And of course, once I smoke half, there’s no reason to save what little is left.

Instead of overmedicating and wasting smoke on regular-sized joints, I’ve found the Swift Lifts Mini Pre Roll Pack from Verano to be the perfect size for personal smoking. As I mentioned in my last pre-roll reviews, I believe 0.5g pre-rolls are the future of joint smoking, at least until the pandemic is behind us.

I chose G6 (Jet Fuel) for this review because I am a huge fan of the strain and wanted to see how well the flavor transferred from pipe and bong to pre-roll. G6, has the classic diesel taste from its lineage of Aspen OG with High Country Diesel but also an added sweet, earth, and pine flavor that satisfies each inhale and exhale. The mini pre-rolls deliver the same dynamic flavor, especially at the beginning of the joint.

Four-out-of the five joints burned smoothly and evenly. The fifth one ran because I think I got it wet while hanging out next to a swimming pool. The 70/30 sativa-dominant strain keeps me highly functional and focused is one of my preferred daytime medications. It also allowed me to chill poolside in a happy-go-lucky mood.

This Swift Lifts Mini Pre Roll Pack was listed as containing a little more than 25% THC levels and delivered the perfect amount of flower for a strong head high that hits with a jolt of cheerful, focused, and uplifting effects. Later in the long-lasting buzz, a heavier mental and physical relaxation sinks in. The Verano pre-rolls are also perfect amount of smoke to kick in a strong appetite about an hour after smoking. Now, with the 0.5g pre-rolls, when I’m smoking a joint on my back porch, I don’t have to feel guilty and wasteful for smoking the entire joint.
