Review: The Pledge by Kaviar
While I can find something to enjoy at almost any point in the cannabis-flavor spectrum, I still hold an affinity for citrus-heavy cultivars. That’s why the budtenders at Consume Marion recommended I pick up The Pledge by Kaviar to review.
The Pledge is a sativa-leaning hybrid cross of unknown origin. This batch of flower bested at 2.323% THC, 33.584% THCa, and 37.783% total cannabinoids.

Six lime-green nugs had sharp pointed tops with chunky rounded bodies. Small sugar leaf remnants matched the bright green base color while a dense network of bright-orange hairs crisscrossed the surface. Large-surface trichomes were a blend of clear and milky, further highlighting the already light color profile. Soft with a lively spring back, the flowers still carried a considerable moisture content, leaving the interior sticky to the touch.
Inside the jar, a sharp blend of lemon zest, fresh pine, citric cleaner, and tart cherry led with a richer herbal mix of dill, basil, and dried parsley creating the finish. The sharpest tones carried over clearly into the flavor profile, while the herbal finish seemed to fall away completely as notes of lemon zest, pine tar, and sour tart cherry coated the palate and hung there even after the bowl was done.
The Pledge was slow to act, a true creeper that took a full half hour to unfold. The physical sensations were first to hit. A light surface level tingling bloomed into waves of distracting euphoria. The mental shift was short lived, and halfway to the peak of the physical buzz, a sense of clarity overtook my mental state, allowing for a real boost in focus and productivity.
