Review: The Stoke by Superflux
Acreage label Superflux was originally spun from The Botanist as a concentrate-focused brand, but the label now has a flower line all its own. I recently stopped at Consume Marion and picked up a few selections from the line to review, starting with The Stoke.
The Stoke is a hybrid cross of Sour Tangie and White OG bred by Swamp Boy Seeds. This batch of flower tested at 3.89% THC, 29.6% THCa, and 33.78% total cannabinoids. The highest indicated terpenes were limonene, β-caryophyllene, and linalool.

Three closely trimmed flowers were joined by a couple smaller sub-popcorn pieces. Vibrant turf green at the base with short fire orange hairs, the buds were visually bright. Large milky trichomes stuck out from the surface, further brightening the surface tone. The buds were dense with little bounceback in the hand but ground to a fluffy grind.
The aroma led with a tangy blend of grapefruit, lemonade, papaya, hot diesel, and stainless steel, followed by a floral mixture of lily, lavender, and sweet perfume. The flavor was less complex than the aroma. Grapefruit and hot diesel acted as a one-two punch, keeping the profile sharp and tangy from start to finish. The sharp profile stuck to the palate and remained expressive long after the exhale.
The physical shift was heavier than the mental. Cascading euphoric tingles were paired with an allover muscle relief. My headspace shifted to a spacious calm and, paired with pain relief, allowed me to focus on the task at hand, getting a surprising amount of work done during the initial half hour. At the peak, the weight of the physical buzz broke through the mental clarity, leaving me calm but unmotivated in the afterglow.
