Review: Tres Leches Cake by Cresco
By Mark’s Manual
With the holidays over, I’ve been trying to get into a new workout routine. But new workouts come with sore muscles and the need for a good recovery smoke. I cracked open an eighth of Cresco’s Tres Leches Cake in its green “Refresh” hybrid packaging, stuffed some cones, and gave it a try.
Picked up from Sunnyside Danville, the Tres Leches Cake is a sativa-dominant hybrid made cross of Koolato and Cookies and Cream. The eighth tested at 25.67% THCa, 0.47% THC, and 1.01% CBGa with 0.45% b-Caryophyllene, 0.32% Limonene, 0.28% b-Myrcene, and 0.25% Linalool.

The nugs were popcorn-sized with a light and dark green mix and dark-orange pistils. Interestingly, I noticed slight purple hues at the base of each nug. The nose gave subtle hops aroma with notes of orange, citrus, and a little funk. I lit up, and the flavor was full and creamy with a finish of cinnamon and spice.
The high hit quick, and my wife and I were very chatty, goofy, and laughing with that classic stoned feeling. What was surprising was the strong body high that rolled in and provided great relief for my cramping legs post workout, but without any tired feelings.
That being said, I moved a little sluggish but not in a way that made me locked into the couch. Tres Leches Cake also was surprisingly clearheaded and an all around strong high. True to the label, this delivered “traditional” hybrid in effects, not too high or too low.
Overall, Tres Leches Cake was a hybrid good smoke, and I would be down to have it at any time of the day. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
