Review: Crops Tropical Orange Bomb by Justice Cannabis Co.
By @Medsforheads
Impressed by Justice Cannabis Co.‘s Lime OG, I decided to try another strain from the cultivator’s recently conceptualized Crops brand, Tropical Orange Bomb.
The eighth I picked up from Greengate Chicago, testing at 19% THC, filled out the mylar bag it came in with a trio of uncompressed nugs cured to crispy dryness with slightest bit of adhesion to the fingers when broken.

Sugar-dusted in sandy resin, the pale green buds released an orange cream soda scent laced with a hint of old-school skunk. As I lined a Raw paper with the ground flower, tipped with a glass filter as always for airflow and flavor, I was struck by a memory of copping Blue Dream, one of the first bags of weed I ever knew by name, and how light it was in all aspects.
Light in pigmentation, lightly floral and breezy in aroma, even the high was lighthearted and carefree. JG’s Tropical Orange Bomb mirrored this experience from early in my cannabis career.

A cross of Sour Apples and (PiƱa and Hawaiian Haze) bred by Mendocino County’s Greenshock Farms, the fruit medley in the cultivar’s heritage was not strongly expressed by this specimen. Instead, the flavor of the smoke was muddled by possible nutrient retention as the darker-colored ash suggested, though notes of orange rind, frothy hops and allspice prevailed through the murk. Myrcene, limonene and humulene were all detectable in the flower’s terpene profile, contributing to a relaxed, happy state.
Each time I smoked Tropical Orange Bomb, I felt a creeping buzz that relaxed my muscles and imparted a mild pressure behind the ears. Sensory enhancement also paired nicely with a spark of arousal, setting the mood for a physical connection.

Feeling contented and unburdened, I was able to let go of tension and unclench my body even in the prematurely bitter November cold. Mentally, this strain’s effects could be described as spacey, creative and giggly, and signaled to me the Haze genetics in its background.
