Review: Watermelon and Green Apple Suckers by I Got The Munchies!
Even though Illinois’ recreational market is now more than five years old, a lot of innovative space remains. New Infuser label I Got The Munchies! has recently released a product that seems strikingly obvious, the infused sucker. I recently stopped at Stash Orland Hills and picked up two flavors, Watermelon and Green Apple to review.
I Got The Munchies! Suckers come as a 4-pack of suckers with 25mg of THC in each sucker. The ingredients were the same for each flavor: corn syrup, sugar, water, citric acid, artificial flavor, and THC.

Each sucker was a perfect circle, an inch-and-a-half across and a half-inch thick with a raised spiral-swirl pattern on the top. The green apple came as a transparent lime green, while the watermelon was a transparent pink. The texture was a classic hard candy, indistinguishable from a confectionery shop sucker.
The green apple led with a tangy artificial apple flavor that will be familiar to anyone that has sampled a Jolly Rancher, same for the Watermelon. Underneath the tangy artificial candied fruit, a cotton candy sugar note helped to round out the flavor. Even at 25mg there was no discernable cannabis flavor at any point.
The effect profile set in after 30 minutes slowing my train of thought, while taking away my baseline anxieties and allowing me to focus on the moment at hand. The physical presence was an increasing warming full-body pressure that outlasted the mental change by a full half hour. The entire effect profile was relaxed but functional. I Got The Munchies! Has delivered a classic edible experience in a classical candy form.
