Review: Watermelon, Pineapple, and Blueberry Lemonade by Journeyman
It’s been almost 8 months since I reviewed the first shots from the Journeyman Lemonade line, and I’m happy to see the label following up with more flavors. Fitting perfectly into my recent thirst for summer, the new additions are Watermelon, Pineapple, and Blueberry. I picked up one flavor each at Nature’s Care Co. in the West Loop to review.
Journeyman Lemonades are 2oz. shots infused with 100mg of THC per shot. The ingredients for all three flavors are filtered water, sugar, natural flavoring extracts, malic acid, gum arabic, sodium benzoate, coconut oil, cannabis extract, and natural coloring.

The 2oz. bottles are small enough that it was simple to knock back the entire shot in one go, but for consumers looking for a smaller dose, the cap acts as a 10mg dosing cup. The liquid in all three was a bright white translucent that could pass for a mass-manufactured lemonade.
The Watermelon carried a sweet artificial melon tang at the top end before the body came in with a much fuller natural watermelon flesh note. Tart lemon came in to cut through the sweet tone and create the finish. The Blueberry was very natural with a true ripe blueberry flesh tone leading the tangy lemon juice note. The Pineapple was the least true to the fruit, a vague sweet note at the top was followed by a hint of bitterness then the blast of lemon that characterized the finish of all three.
All three flavors had the same effect profile. A sharp come up at the 15-minute mark was indicated by a combination of headband pressure and a tingling in my chest and neck. This built into a full body weighted pressure that wiped away my body pains but couchlocked me for an hour. Mentally, a playful mood and open awareness kept the experience from becoming too heavy. Overall, the convenient high-density shots are a great fit for more experienced consumers, and the new line of flavors were an improvement over the originals.
