Review: Wild Cherry Gummy by Dr. Consalter
Despite limitations that Illinois regulations place on both producers and consumers, there’s still space to innovate, and the new line of Dr. Consalter “Jemmy” single gummies proves that. I recently stopped by Consume Marion and picked up all four of the new flavors and the first one I sampled was the Wild Cherry.
Dr. Consalter Wild Cherry Gummy is a single 100mg gummy. The ingredients are corn syrup, sugar (from beets), water, gelatin, citric acid, artificial flavor, pectin (derived from fruit), vegetable oil, and carnauba leaf wax, FD&C Red #40, and THC.

Bright neon red, this gummy was one and a half inches across and just under a half inch thick. The large circular gummy was perforated into 10 equal size slices to help with dosing but required a knife to get apart as the dense gummy texture resisted being torn by hand. The chewy texture put up some considerable resistance to the teeth and took some energy to finish. The flavor was a strong and straightforward dose of artificial cherry that evoked a classic cherry ICEE.
Even at 100mg, the Dr. Consalter gummy hit above its weight class providing a warming body pressure that relieved my aches and pains by the 30-minute mark. The experience continued to build, becoming an overall couchlocked, physical and mental, one-two punch. A closed-off dazed headspace wiped away the worries of the day but took me out of what was happening around me, leaving me quiet and contemplative.
Overall, these gummies worked well as a nightcap and left me looking forward to the rest of the lineup. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
