Review: Wilson! Zero and Banana Milkshake Prerolls by matter
Recent industry reports suggested pre-rolled joints are rapidly gaining popularity as consumers seek out small, multipack options. In response, cultivators, including Pharmacann’s matter label, have introduced a variety of options. During a recent visit to Verilife Ottawa, I picked up a couple strains of matter’s two-pack half-gram joints, Wilson! Zero and Banana Milkshake.
Wilson! Zero is an indica-leaning cross of (Banana OG and Papaya) and Tropicana Cookies F1. These prerolls tested at 1.02% THC and 22.9% THCa. Banana Milkshake is an indica-dominant hybrid cross of [(Banana OG x Cherry Pie) and (Strawberry Diesel)] and (Chem OG x Daffie) testing at 0.49% THC and 23.35% THCa.

Opening the Wilson! Zero, I detected a savory aroma of roasted nuts, sage, and earth. Both half-gram cones burned smoothly and cleanly, with a surprisingly sweet flavor profile that included notes of sweet bubblegum, cream, honeysuckle, and coconut. The finish had a more savory taste reminiscent of freshly cured tobacco.
Inside the Banana Milkshake tube, the aroma contained notes of garlic, leafy greens, and mushroom. Yet again, the flavor turned the savory aroma on its head with notes of cream, berry, banana candy, and a hint of tangy diesel at the finish.
Despite being a half-gram, Wilson! Zero provided a potent experience. The high was heavily cerebral and imaginative, with effects that set in quickly and lasted for over an hour. It may be helpful for creative work, as it seemed to enhance thought flow. Wilson! Zero had a delayed physical aspect, providing a tight headband pressure that slowly spread throughout the body.
Banana Milkshake was a much more physically focused affair, creating a heavily weighted sensation in my arms and legs and a restful warm blanket pressure at my core. Mentally, Banana Milkshake left me dazed, unable to focus, and overall foggy. A good fit as a nightcap, Banana Milkshake was too tiring for me to enjoy it anywhere else in my day.
