Review: Zeebra Cakez Prerolls by Revolution
In order to truly set their product apart, some cultivators focus on creating their own genetic portfolios, ensuring the strains are unique to their label. There are a few Illinois-based cultivators with in-house breeding programs, and anytime a new strain hits the market, it gets my attention. Revolution has been dropping a run of new crosses lately, including Zeebra Cakes, which I found as a pack of prerolls at Enlightened Mt. Prospect.
Zeebra Cakez is a sativa leaning hybrid cross of Frost Donkey and Cake Crasher, developed in-house by Revolution. This 5-pack of half-gram prerolls tested at 0.76% Delta-9-THC, 25.55% THCa, and 27.35% total cannabinoids. The primary terpenes were listed as β-myrcene, β-caryophyllene, limonene, linalool, and fenchyl alcohol.
Small prerolls usually give me some trouble, but these burned particularly clean and smooth. Inside the tin, the light aroma that escaped from the cones provided hints of vanilla and creamy chocolate. The flavor was much more robust carrying the vanilla and chocolate alongside roasted coffee, cedar, and an overall doughy quality that gave the entire profile more depth.
Zeebra Cakez was an eye opener, lifting my mood and opening my headspace. I smoked a Zeebra Cakez preroll before a dinner out, and I particularly enjoyed how open and sociable it made me. In my body, I felt Zeebra Cakez right behind my eyes initially, and over time, this built to a full-body tingle.
Overall, Zeebra Cakez was a balanced experience, putting a smile on my face and making me sociable without becoming racy or overwhelming. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
