The last couple weeks of December are definitely the down days for Illinois cannabis-related events, but winter will end, and Illinois again will be back in the swing of hosting events, probably more than ever before. In the meantime, one interesting winter event of notice next month includes “Stoner Speed Dating.”

The “Puff & Cuff: A Stoner Speed Dating Event” is set for Thursday, January 19 at RISE Lounge & Smokeasy, located at 1325 Armour Boulevard, Mundelein. Puff & Cuff, presented by Cannabaddie Management, is a “women led dating event that creates a safe and open space for communication and consumption. Removing the seedy environment from singles events.”

This event is a “Hetero- Singles Event. Ladies will be sat individually while the fellas alternate.” Arrival is at 6:30 p.m. Speed Dating rounds begin at 7 p.m. Ticketholders will be given a “Canna-Connection” Card to fill out at the end of the rounds. If attendee makes a Canna-Connection with a fellow single, the person will be notified within 24 hours.

After the speed-dating rounds, there will be additional time for mingling and flirting. Consumption is allowed on site, all cannabis must be purchased directly from the Rise Dispensary attached to the Consumption Lounge and Smokeasy.

No outside cannabis or liquor are allowed on site. No glass or smoking equipment is allowed in the consumption lounge. This event is 21+ and attendees will need to have an ID present.
