Review: Bruce Banner by Rythm
I admit that my criteria for sativa strains are different than most consumers. As mentioned, while working and writing, I prefer a high-energy strain with a strong cerebral high that also provides creativity and mental focus. Other preferences include a body buzz that relaxes my muscles while sitting in a chair for hours but does not have a huge weed crash.
My ADD, which I’ve struggled with my entire life, is best managed with these types of sativa strains. And I am more productive at work. Some strains may offer high-energy but no focus, or a good focus but not enough cerebral high, or a great cerebral high and focus but no energy. It’s rare for me to find a strain that delivers everything I prefer, which is why I created the “Work Sativa” review series. So when I ran across Bruce Banner by Rythm, I was excited to find another great Work Sativa.
Bruce Banner, of course, is named after The Incredible Hulk comic book series, which features the Hulk and his alter ego, Dr. Bruce Banner. The sativa-dominant strain is a cross between OG Kush and Strawberry Diesel. Creamy trichomes cover the dense light green buds that are filled with orange hairs. This batched contains 22.19% THC levels.
I don’t have the lab test results for this strain, but the myrcene, caryophyllene, and limonene are obviously in the forefront. The bud contains a sweet herbal aroma with hints of citrus and a mild pepper. The flavor follows the taste but also has added floral and diesel notes
The strong cerebral but focused high is perfect for long hours of work without crashing. The buzz is energetic but not racy. The body buzz eventually creeps in and calms my muscle aches and stress from sitting too long. I am able to do physical work, mental work, or chill during the day with this strain. I will definitely include Bruce Banner into my rotation of Work Sativa.
