Review: Clementine by Rythm
In late January, when demand for dispensary-sold cannabis was extremely high, I purchased an eighth of Clementine by Rythm from Sunnyside in Champaign because the strain was the only sativa available. I had no expectation reviewing the strain for Work Week, but I quickly discovered two characters I really enjoyed. For a “Work Sativa” review, the strain has to produce and energetic and focused high. Clementine met that criterion. It also offered an added benefit for me with its mellowing relation that permeated throughout the body. The high energy kept me focused on work, and the relaxing aspects of the strain kept my muscles from cramping. It was uplifting mentally and relaxing physically. A great combo that
Rythm’s strain boasted a powerful 21.5% THC level. The euphoric and uplifting high hit quickly with a happy, clearheaded, and motivated feeling. The light green bud—with reddish-orange hairs and golden pistils—were compact but not too dense. And I’m enamored by the smell. Many stains claim and orangey fragrance that is not quite orange. This Clementine, a combination of Tangie and Lemon Skunk, contained as orangey aroma as any strain. The high level of terpinolene and citrusy scent also possessed hints of pine and diesel.
Clementine burned with a smooth, lung-expanding smoke. The orange and lemon citrus taste hit hard on the inhale. But the aftertaste was more pine and earthy. Overall, I was productive using Clementine as a work sativa, but the added benefits of the subtle body high puts the strain in the work sativa rotation.
