CRI to host Public Research Series on cannabis legalization and social equity
The Cannabis Research Institute (CRI) invites the public to attend another CRI Public Research Series. The session, Cannabis Legalization and Social Equity: Opportunities, Puzzles, and Trade-offs, is scheduled for a Zoom meeting from 12-1 p.m. Tuesday, May 19. The meeting registration link can be found here.
This session’s presenter will be Beau Kilmer, Ph.D., a codirector of the RAND Drug Policy Research Center, a senior policy researcher at RAND, and a professor of policy analysis at the RAND School of Public Policy. Kilmer will discuss what happens when cannabis legalization meets real-world policy goals and will explore the opportunities, trade-offs, and unintended consequences shaping social equity efforts today. Drawing on research and on-the-ground insights, Beau Kilmer will unpack what he knows, what remains uncertain, and what it all means for decision-makers, practitioners, and communities.
The CRI Public Research Series is an initiative designed to make cannabis research transparent, accessible, and collaborative.
