Hemp-Hops-Shrooms Festival set for Sept. 24
As mentioned ad nauseam, Illinois News Joint believes in combining education and cannabis whenever possible. We also believe education comes in many forms, from academia to legacy mentoring. The upcoming Hemp-Hops-Shrooms Festival is an event that will combine multiple modes of education and is free to the public.
The Hemp-Hops-Shrooms Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 24 and will run from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. in downtown Carbondale, Illinois. The Hemp-Hops-Shrooms Festival will host live music and educational presentations on cannabis, mushrooms, and fermentation by local and regional experts, as well as host local vendors, food trucks, and more.
Coordinated by the City of Carbondale, Southern Illinois University Cannabis Science Center, SIU Fermentation Science Institute, Makanda Mushroom Festival, and Economic Development in Carbondale, and Carbondale Mainstreet, the event is set to host educational presentations and workshops in the morning and music in the afternoon and evening. BYOB.
The more than 20 vendors will be located near S. Washington Street from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The Hemp-Hops-Shrooms Festival is still accepting vendor applications for the event. Apply on the site here. Stop by Illinois News Joint’s booth while there.
