Review: Mecha Chem Diesel Live Sauce by Bedford Grow
Some of the best cannabis advice I’ve ever gotten is to stop looking at “indica” and “sativa” and start learning the genetic lineages that work for you. Just a few strong lineages can provide a plethora of choices, and it’s a method that has really improved my experience with cannabis. It’s also what got me so excited to see Mecha Chem Diesel by Bedford Grow on the Maribis Springfield menu as its Amnesia Sour Diesel parent is a personal favorite.
Mecha Chem Diesel is a hybrid cross of Chem De Menthe and (3rd Coast Panama Chunk and Amnesia Sour Diesel). This batch of live sauce tested at 79.55%THCa, 3.13% D9-THC, 2.77% CBGa, and 86.16% total cannabinoids. The most prevalent terpenes were limonene, terpinolene, and β-myrcene, β-caryophyllene, and α-pinene.

This gram of live sauce came as a small mound of various sized (ranging from sugar to sea salt) clear diamonds floating in a pale yellow sauce. The sauce had a low enough viscosity that I could get the entire pool of diamonds and sauce to slide from side to side when I tilted the jar.
The aroma from the jar was sharp with the telltale sweet soapy chemical tang of terpinolene, hot diesel, burnt orange, lemon, dry hops, celery seed, and grapefruit. The flavor when vaporized cut some of the sharpness of the aroma while still highlighting the diesel, terpinolene, and sweet grapefruit notes, depending on where in the dab temperature range it was consumed.

The effect profile for Mecha Chem Diesel landed heavily with a mindlocking headspace that left me ready to wrap up the night, and if I wasn’t careful I was literally dazed and confused. The body profile was equally as strong, weighing down my arms and legs and closing in on my crown with a classic headband.
Mecha Chem Diesel was a good end to my day and I used it more than once as a nightcap. Other (3rd Coast Panama Chunk x Amnesia Sour Diesel) crosses from Bedford Grow include Wild Berry Breath, Lake Effect, Rainbow Sour, Candy Coast, Mecha Chem Diesel, Galloping Ghost OG, Prism, and Chicago Dawg.
