Review: Chicago Dawg Live Resin by Bedford Grow
After reviewing several sweet and savory flavored strains, I wanted to go back to one of my touchstone: gas and diesel. I can usually count on Bedford Grow for a gassy diesel strain, so when Maribis Springfield listed several new and “re-released” Bedford Grow strains in concentrate form, I went overboard and grabbed all of them. So for the first of nine reviews (no joke), I’ll start with what I assumed would be the most gas-diesel strain out of the new releases, Chicago Dawg.
What made me think of Chicago Dawg would be the most gas-diesel strain out of the new releases? Well, Chicago Dawg is a sativa-leaning three-way cross of AJ Sour Diesel and (3rd Coast Panama Chunk and Amnesia Sour Diesel). 3rd Coast Panama Chunk is a cross between East Coast Panama Chunk and Sour Diesel.

This 1g of Chicago Dawg Live Resin tested at 63.04% THCa, 4.18% THC, 0.20% CBDa, 2.95% CBGa, 0.32% CBG, and 70.69% total cannabinoids. Total terpenes reached 28.49%, with terpinolene, α-pinene, β-myrcene, limonene, and ocimene leading the way. The next terpene, α-phellandrene, is a minor terpene often associated with terpinolene and energetic effects and a terpene I want to search out for possible Work Sativa strains.
The golden 1g had the consistency of fine wet sugar that clumped easily for dabbing. With this nearly triple diesel lineage and terpene profile, there was no surprise whatsoever in the aroma and flavor of Chicago Dawg.

The aroma hit with a pungent diesel, sour citrus, gassy pine, and lemon turpentine. The flavor matched the aroma with strong gas and diesel flavors on the front end mix with a lemon citrus and sweet and sour pine. An added haze-like pepper finished the very end of the exhale. As for my gas/diesel fix, Chicago Dawg took care of that in spades.
The effects were cerebral and mentally uplifting with a surprisingly strong but functioning body buzz. The head high was relatively clearheaded, though with bigger doses thoughts could catch a haze-like wander. Chicago Dawg delivered a motivating high, without the raciness, which allowed me to work at my desk comfortably or in the yard during mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

The body buzz settled in way after the head high and eased my muscle cramps and pains without putting me into couchlock. In fact, I was at ease enough to finish all kinds of errands while medicating on Chicago Dawg. The body high was a good balance of pain relief and function, while the head high added a euphoric and uplifting cerebral buzz without the raciness.
Chicago Dawg may be the most gas and diesel strain from Bedford Grow has out, and that is saying a lot because Bedford Grow has several of them. After reading this review, it goes without saying that patients who enjoy gas and diesel strain should find pleasure in Chicago Dawg. Other (3rd Coast Panama Chunk x Amnesia Sour Diesel) crosses from Bedford Grow include Wild Berry Breath, Lake Effect, Rainbow Sour, Candy Coast, Mecha Chem Diesel, Galloping Ghost OG, Prism, and Chicago Dawg.
