Higher Love event kicks off Pride Month
High-Minded Events is scheduled to host “Higher Love – Pride Month Kick Off” Wednesday, June 1. Phil Cooper, Owner and Founder of High-Minded Events, invites all LGBTQ+ budtenders, buyers, and their allies to come kick-off pride at the second annual Higher Love.
The Higher Love event is “an interactive experience designed to spotlight brands, discover new opportunities, and network with likeminded canna-seurs.” Higher Love welcomes the consumption of cannabis openly and honestly.

The event is scheduled for 6-10 p.m. at the PalmHouse in Evanston. The PalmHouse is located at 619 Howard Street. Cooper believes if High-Minded Events creates experiences that are approachable, safe, elegant, and informative that more people can be responsibly introduce to cannabis and ultimately broaden the consumer base.
“We can’t celebrate pride without drag queens,” said Cooper, “and we’re proud to announce that this year’s event will be hosted by Bambi Banks Coulee, with fabulous performances by Khloe Coulee and Kenzie Coulee and our Star, RuPaul Drag Race Season 13 contestant and Chicagoan, Denali Foxx.”

There will be no sales or re-selling of cannabis at this event. All attendees must be 21 and older, with valid proof of identification at the door. Cooper believes events that he designs help normalize cannabis and should be available for on-site consumption.
“It’s why my business partner and I have been using our decades worth of relationship to vet privately owned venues that allow cannabis consumption,” said Cooper. “A professional cannabis event should be able to openly and honestly consume the products they produce.”
Cooper ensures that each High-Minded Events he designs is compliant in conjunction with all local and state laws and properly licensed. Tickets can be purchased here.
