Homegrown Review: Garlic Breath by John Grow #29
We are back with a new medical patient review from John Grow #29, who recently harvested the popular strain Garlic Breath.
Garlic Breath is an indica-leaning hybrid cross (60% Indica 40% Sativa) of GMO and Mendo Breath F2 (Study Spewright) bred by Thug Pug Genetics. The strain takes 8-11 weeks to flower and averages around 24%-30% THC.
The heavy trichome laden buds are a mix of purple and green with rusty pistils. Garlic Breath provides a diverse and savory flavor and aroma. The aroma hits with zesty herbal funk, pepper, skunk, and dank garlic. The flavor delivers a matching zesty herbal funk with added buttery garlic, sweet floral, and peppery diesel.
The effect of Garlic Breath is heavy mentally and physically. Garlic Breath’s head high starts out with a cerebral rush that quickly settles heavy in the crown of the head. The cerebral high turns on a dime into a relaxing thoughlock and/or thought wandering.
Though not sedative, the head and body buzz are heavy and long lasting. How lost a patient is in the buzz depends on the amount of doses. The more hits the stronger the buzz. The distressing high slows down the day’s worries, practically numbing thoughts into relaxation.
The body buzz is not as quick an onset as the head high, but it’s not far behind. Garlic Breath sends waves of pain relief, especially in the arms and legs, and eases cramping and muscle and joint pain. With more doses, the body buzz feels like a weighted blanket.
Garlic Breath also boosts appetite, and again, with more doses, becomes heavier and can cause munchies. Garlic Breath is not so much a knockout nighttime strain as it is a potent heavy high that eventually wears out the user. Garlic Breath is more of a “stay at home” evening strain when patients want to decompress without others around but not pass out right away. Once ready for bed, the body buzz helps sleeping by easing muscle cramps and aches.
