Homegrown Review: Gummy Bears by John Grow #14
As mentioned before, as part of this educational review series, I want to show the diversity of the plant and its medical contributions. So here is John Grow #14 with a medicinal “treat” that proves powerful things can come in small packages.
These tiny Gummy Bears are barely the height of a dime but pack long lasting relief. John Grow #14’s first grow was back in 1985 as a young teen. He’s been a registered medical patient and growing in Illinois for two years.
John Grow #14 not only is a supporter of growing your own clean medicine but a supporter of helping beginning growers and military veterans from seed to harvest. John Grow #14 “coaches” new growers, who also make gummies, RSO, and sugars to help create their own medicine.
These Gummy Bears were made from the leftover harvest trimmings and designed specifically for John Grow #14’s medical needs.
“I started because it was fun,” John Grow #14 said. “Now, I grow because of my medical issues with chronic pain, PTSD, and throat and lung issues.”
The tiny Gummy Bears are coated with organic sugar in the raw that’s infused with RSO and cinnamon. The coating gives the gummy a quicker onset and head high before the RSO in the gummy hits. Though admittedly very high in THC, the THC in each gummy bear is unknown, because John Grow #14 has a created a personal formula designed for his specific medical needs in mind. One tiny gummy is a full dose.
As the head high levels off, the body buzz builds. The head high becomes more cerebral and functioning, giving way to the influence of the body buzz. These Gummy Bears are built for medical patients who suffer from soreness, cramps, and other muscle issues.
The body buzz is a warm security blanket the covers the entire body without becoming overwhelming or too heavy. Instead of waves of relief, the buzz has a levelness of smooth energy that keeps the muscles in an enduring relaxed state.
Surprisingly, the pain relief does not cause drowsiness during the peak of the buzz. The buzz just continues at its even keel and allows the body to function without being couchlocked. At the very end of the buzz, sedation finally kicks in and readies the patient for a good night of heavy sleep.
For his grow cycles now, John Grow #14 focuses on creating cannabis for specific medical needs and unique terpenes.
“I wish the state of Illinois would increase the plant count and give caregivers the right to grow for medical patients,” he said.
