With the final judging scores now finished and the judges’ entries tallied, the Illinois High Times Magazine People’s Choice 2022 Cannabis Cup is set to announce winners of each category live on Facebook Sunday, September 18. The awards ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:20 p.m.

A few category changes were made for the 2022 People’s Choice Cannabis Cup awards. This year’s contest had a Recreational and a Medical category. The recreational category includes Indica Flower, Sativa Flower, Hybrid Flower, Pre-Rolls, Concentrates, Vape Pens & Cartridges, Edibles: Gummies, Edibles: Non-Gummies, and Edibles: Beverages. The Medical category includes Flower, Vape Pens, and Edibles.

According to High Times Magazine, the “High Times Cannabis Cup Illinois: People’s Choice Edition is aimed to identify and award the best cannabis products in all of Illinois, all across a wide range of different categories, all to be judged by the great people of the Land of Lincoln.”
