Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation announced September’s recreational sales totals today. After surpassing one billion dollars for 2022 last month, the total cannabis sales in September topped the most monthly sales since July and April 2022, during the 420 holidays. The total cannabis sales for September reached $130,685,122.59, which was the fourth largest monthly total of the year.
With September sales totals, Illinois has now reached $1,146,385,238.29 in total 2022 recreational cannabis sales. September total out-of-state resident sales reached $41,184,007.26, which was a slight jump from similar monthly totals in March and April.
In-state resident sales totaled $89,501,115.33, which was a slight drop from the similar totals in March and April. Illinois sold a total of 3,092,880 cannabis items in September. Illinois is well on its way to top 2021 totals of $1,379,088,278.61. Find all monthly sales totals below.
