The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) released March medical cannabis sales totals of $13,369,358.67. This total tracks with medical sales numbers after a “new Medical Cannabis Patient Registry System was launched. Numbers of patients reported may vary between systems.”

The total sales included $6,582,105.20 in dry flower and $6,820,672.00 in concentrates and infused products. Licensed medical cannabis dispensaries served 50,023 unique patients who purchased 1,342,298.00 grams of dry cannabis. On average, the new sales totals have been around $6 million less than the totals before the implementation of the new registry system. This also does not account for medical patients who shopped with medical discounts at recreational dispensaries.
