Illinois September cannabis sales plateau
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation announced Illinois’ monthly recreation sales totals today.
After a dip in totals from August, Illinois’ recreational cannabis sales in September basically stayed the same with another small dip in total sales but with more total items sold. Still, the totals sales for the month are more than the first six months of the year.
Illinois’ September adult-use cannabis sales total of $121,717,709.51 decreased slightly from August’s total of $121,933,542.23.
In-state resident sales actually increased from $81,275,830.72 in August to $81,686,864.69 in September.
Out-of-state resident sales decreased from $40,657,711.51 in August to $40,030,844.82 in September.
Total items sold increased from 2,702,230 in August to 2,702,260 in September.
Illinois’ August adult-use cannabis sales total of $121,933,542.23 decreased from July’s total of $127,794,220.50.
In-state resident sales decreased from $85,426,028.21 in July to $81,275,830.72 in August.
Out-of-state resident sales also decreased from $42,368,192.28 in July to $40,657,711.51 in August.
Total items sold decreased from 2,802,124 in July to 2,702,230 in August.
Illinois’ July adult-use cannabis sales total of $127,794,220.50 significantly increased from June’s total of $115,574,741.27.
In-state resident sales again increased from $79,190,074.69 in June to $85,426,028.21 in July.
Out-of-state resident sales also increased from $36,384,666.58 in June to $42,368,192.28 in July.
Total items sold increased from 2,513,676 in June to 2,802,124 in July.
Illinois’ June adult-use cannabis sales total of $115,574,741.27 decreased from May’s total of $116,380,348.01.
In-state resident sales dropped for the second straight month from $79,559,545.00 in May to $79,190,074.69 in June.
Out-of-state resident sales decreased from $36,820,803.01 in May to $36,384,666.58 in June.
Total items sold was the only category that increased. June total times sold equaled 2,513,676, which was up from May’s totals of 2,512,093.
Illinois’ May adult-use cannabis sales increased to $116,380,348.01 from April’s total of $114,961,668.22.
In-state resident sales actually dropped from $79,909,284.92 in April to $79,559,545.00 in May.
Total items sold increased from 2,463,056 in April to 2,512,093 in May.
Out-of-state resident sales increased from $35,052,383.30 in March to $36,820,803.01 in April.
